Tanya Lee has served as CEO of The Law Foundation of Ontario since 2015. Before this, Ms Lee held two consecutive roles with the organization. Ms Lee was the Foundation’s Director of Policy and Programs, responsible for developing and managing all the Foundation’s granting programs. Prior to that she was Director of the Foundation’s Access to Justice Fund, a national granting program, as well as the Connecting Project, an innovative initiative aimed at enhancing access to justice for linguistic minorities and rural and remote residents.
Tanya had a distinguished career at the Ministry of the Attorney General where she was Counsel in the Constitutional Law Branch, arguing significant cases at all levels of court, and she developed policy relating to court reform, legal aid, and human rights issues. She is a graduate of the University of Toronto and Yale Law Schools and clerked at the Supreme Court of Canada.
